Hospital for Finless Porpoises SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium n Haeundae, Busan, the world’s first professional medical center ‘SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium’ has opened its doors to rescue and care for a species of whale native to Korean waters known as the finless porpoise. The Busan Aquarium has been reopened under the title of SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium with a new focus towards rescuing and breeding marine life in order to help protect and support our precious marine ecosystem. The new SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium is exhibiting roughly 250 different species of marine life and has a total of more than 10,000 sea creatures on display. The site is also home to eight new exhibitions, each designed to give visitors a unique experience. These include some newly built observation decks including Ray Beach, Sea Horse Kindergarten, and Shark Walk. The finless porpoises rescued at sea and moved to SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium are carefully provided for and have a team of eight trained professionals who regularly administer examinations and rehabilitation treatments.
