Samgwangsa Temple

Samgwangsa Temple This is the second temple of Cheontaejong (a Buddhist sect) whose emphasis is on practicing Buddhism among the general public and in actual daily life. In the Daewoongbojeon (the main wing of the temple) are enshrined the statues of Sakyamuni (Buddha), Gwanseoem Bosal (the Buddhist deity of Mercy) and Daeseji Bosal (the Buddhist deity of Wisdo m). The Buddhist Center in the grounds is capable of accommodating over 10,000 persons who attend the beophoe (Buddhist lectures) held in the Center.
